Wind Power. As of April 2009 there was 28,635 MW of installed wind capacity in the US and employment in the sector rose from 50,000 in 2007 to more than 85,000 people in 2008. In 2008 wind was second only to natural gas in terms of new generating capacity. Like all other forms of power generation, wind will fluctuate with broader markets, but the trend is clear: wind generation is here to stay.

Increasingly over the last five years, Enscicon is being called upon to locate both seasoned wind power professionals and power professionals desiring to make the crossover to wind.

Enscicon is committed to the wind sector of power generation. In addition to supporting the wind efforts of the large EP&C entities, we are experiencing an increase in demand to support the recruitment needs of the pure-play wind engineering firms and developers.

Even as growth rates moderate, wind generation will be one of the most vibrant sectors of power generation over the next 20 years.

When we are asked to recruit wind power professionals, we are seeking the kind of person who has a burning passion and a desire to see wind as a leading source of power generation. If, as a kid, you were fascinated by the power of wind, you are probably our kind of wind power professional. At Enscicon we take the long view on establishing relationships with our candidates and encourage you to reach out to Enscicon to start what we like to think will be an excellent, career-long association.
