Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Solid civil construction quality background with heavy experience in : soils classification and identification, trenching, cut & fill, compaction, grading & drainage, hydrology and erosion control.

• Must have previous experience with the Corp of Engineers processes including Corp of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.

• QC personnel must understand the work plan, work plan instructions and specifications.

• QC have secondary responsibility for health and safety oversight of contractors, i. e. operating equipment improperly.

• QC observe and confirm soil placement & type, verify compaction, verify grade in conjunction with survey and certify grade is to specification.

• Responsible for writing daily quality reports. identification of non conforming items and submission of non conformance reports.

• Correction of issues in the field as they arise and work stop if required.

• Must be good with log books and on the spot documentation.

• Oversight of the activities of equipment operators and laborers as well as coordinating with project engineers and project management.

• Must have troxler certification.
