Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere and will be responsible for providing services to financial institutions and project sponsors who are lending and/or investing capital for power plants, transmission and distribution projects, renewable and biofuel projects, and other infrastructure projects.
- The candidate will prepare detailed and summary level cost estimates; review others’ estimates, providing critical comments; and support appraisal efforts.
- We prefer estimating and project controls experience with power projects, water resources, gas pipelines and midstream oil and gas, transmission and distribution, and infrastructure (e.g., roads, rail, bridges).
- As a representative of the client working for a financial institutions and project sponsors, the individual will evaluate the cost and schedule feasibility of these types of projects.
- These projects range in size from a few million dollars to over a billion dollars and, as noted above, can include a wide range of technologies.
- Broad Power and/or Process Industry Capital Estimating Experience (ten years minimum).
- Experience working with large contractors and/or major design and management firms.
- Some Schedule and Projects Controls Experience.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Minimum of B. S. degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
