Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Our mechanical engineers are responsible for the engineering, design, modification,  rehabilitation and upgrades to hydro power generation facilities. 

• Engineering, design, analysis and material selection for refurbishing turbines and generators including but not limited to: machining surfaces, surface treatments,  bushings, bearings, specifying tolerances, truing elevations etc.

• Responsible for working with the engineering, testing, materials, performance, manufacturing, assembly, quality and O&M staff of suppliers and  customers.

• Create engineering drawings for manufacture, assembly and installation.

• Create detailed written instructions for installation and maintenance for field, QC and engineering staff.

• Produced complete  design packages including specs, drawings, history, and analytic data.

• Analyze: material properties, engineering design, specifications,manufacturing operations, maintenance and inspection procedures and service conditions.

• Evaluating and incorporating site information to make ECOs and for use in contract modifications.

• BSME and 10+ Experience in steam or hydro turbine and generator rehabilitation including rewinds.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills and even temperament.

• Solid design tools experience.

• People skills / persuasion skills and managerial skill sets.
