Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Responsible for moderately complex engineering projects. Performs project engineering work from design to implementation in accordance with organization’s policies. Participates as a key contributor on project and technical teams and will be required to provide technical guidance, leadership and management of engineering contractors.

• The E&I Project Engineer will also play a vital role in ensuring and enforcing  compliance with Client Procedures and Specifications.  This position requires a good understanding and practical application experience with DCS control systems. Proficient with process control content of P&I diagrams and working knowledge of schematic wiring diagrams. Requires Primary instrumentation & electrical background with experience with control system electrical and instrumentation components (valves, analyzers, field sensors, control panels, VFD’s, Soft Starters, power distribution, Intelligent MCC’s etc.). 

• This position requires significant technical independence, excellent project management skills and leadership in development of control system application and safety standards.

• Ideal Candidate should have at least some Material Handling Experience and be familiar with the operation of various types of Crushers, Stackers, Reclaimers, Ship-loaders, Ship unloaders and conveyor systems. Candidate should be familiar with Smart Plant Electrical, Smart Plant Instrumentation and Smart Plant P&ID.

• Leadership and communication skills are essential. BSEE required, PE preferred, P Eng required, 10-15 years experience required.  Position is a full time position.

• Position is located in Denver Tech Center. Candidate must be in a prepared to travel in order to attend meetings with clients, contractors and vendors.

• Candidate will have experience in dealing with Petrochemical companies, specifically all the procedural requirements, documentation requirements, review processes, QA/QC etc.
