Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Our Quality Engineers are responsible for the quality oversight of all activities associated with the engineering, design, modification, rehabilitation and upgrades to hydro power generation facilities.

• QA/QC  of the engineering, design, manufacturing and installation of  refurbished  turbines and generators  and or parts.  Including but not limited to: machining surfaces, surface treatments, welds    bushings, bearings, specifying tolerances, truing elevations etc.

• Proficient with the various conventional and non conventional NDT techniques like UT, RT, PT, MT, VT, ET, In-situ oxide scale measurement, Hardness testing, Eddy current testing, Residual life analysis, etc.

• Proficient with creating inspection test plans and protocols and supervising the execution of those plans.

• Formulate and conduct supplier quality audits.

• Create witness point plans and ensure they are followed from equipment removal at the power house through the remanufacturing process to re installation and start up.

• Ensure design compliance and contract compliance.

• Responsible for continuous process improvement:  in engineering, in the field and in manufacturing.

• BSME and 10+ Experience in QA/QC roles for the steam or hydro turbine and generator rehabilitation industry.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills and even temperament.

• Solid experience with analytic and statistical tools.

• People skills / persuasion skills and managerial skill sets.

• Six Sigma Expert.
