Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• The Remote Sensing Project Manager is responsible for technical and managerial oversight of a large, dynamic remote sensing project for the detection on IEDs.

• The candidate will work very closely with the Program Manager and General Manager as well as the flight operations team, staff engineers and scientists. 

• This staff member will be responsible for directing technical development teams and requires excellent communication skills.

• The Remote Sensing Project Manager will also work with other senior staff to expand the base of business in this area.

• A strong understanding of sensor and remote sensing processes.

• A track record of technical leadership in the area of remote sensing.

• Management experience with team composed of technical and non-technical personnel.

• Strong skills in communication, project and personnel management.

• Strong writing skills.

• Ability to travel up to one week per month.

• Masters degree or equivalent in relevant technical or scientific field.

• 5-10 years experience in airborne remote sensing.

• Secret (or higher) security clearance, or the ability to acquire.

• Proficiency in LiDAR, orthophotography, SAR and hyperspectral techniques is a plus.

• Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn new technologies.

• Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, perseverance, and a positive attitude.
