Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Applied experienced in the use of geophysical techniques to enhance engineering, environmental, and munitions investigation and response project tasks.
- Position will provide leadership to a group of environmental geophysicists across the country.
- Will interface with internal clients (and external clients as directed).
- Will be involved with pricing estimates, technical approach scoping, scheduling, and field project execution.
- Position will also keep the group on the leading edge of technology advances in the field of applied geophysics.
- Be proficient in and able to responsibly recommend a variety of geophysical techniques including but not limited to: magnetics, electromagnetics, resistivity, ground penetrating radar, and seismic.
- Provide leadership to a group of geophysicists located nationwide, including scheduling of project assignments, monitoring of deliverables, overall professional development, and mentoring.
- Maintain and improve upon existing methodologies, techniques, and procedures from both a technical and administrative standpoint.
- Present at professional society conferences/symposiums on behalf of the company.
- Interact in a confident and effective manner with internal clients, other technical staff, and company managers, and have the ability to interact in a professional context with prospective client representatives and regulatory agency personnel.
- Degree in Geophysics from an accredited university; professional registration required.
- 7-15 years of direct experience in utilizing geophysical techniques in support of environmental engineering and infrastructure projects. Experience working on Military Munitions Response Projects (MMRP) a plus.
- Demonstrated management experience with strong team building and communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic and modeling software specific to geophysical data reduction and presentation; working knowledge of Geosoft software package.
